Hus From Clark Beginner Guide
How to survive your first chase. Community-sourced — verify in-game.
1. Know Your Hunter: Captain Clark
Captain Clark is the HUSS entity that hunts you. He appears suddenly and chases relentlessly. The game description is blunt: RUN. Before anything else, learn to spot him early — hearing and peripheral vision save lives.
2. Master Ankle Breakers
The core survival mechanic. When Clark is on your tail:
- Bait him toward a corner or doorway — fake one direction.
- At the last moment, cut sharply the other way.
- Chain two or three breaks until you break his line of sight.
- Hide behind a door and wait for his steps to fade.
Ankle breakers fail in open straight corridors — always fight chases near geometry.
3. Learn the Maps
HUSS Rooms is the classic yellow-corridor maze — memorize door positions; every room has at least two exits. Huss Valley is more open, so use terrain and structures to break line of sight instead of corners.
4. Survival Checklist
- Never stand still in open rooms — Clark can spawn on you.
- Keep exits memorized. Rooms are identical; build a mental map.
- Emotes (hold B) are for fun — never use them mid-chase.
- Points reward risk. Push for speed only after you survive consistently.
- Play with friends — a second pair of eyes means fewer surprises.
